Set up Visual Voicemail and create a password:
- Tap Phone.
- Tap Voicemail. The first time you tap Voicemail, iPhone prompts you to create a voicemail password and record your voicemail greeting. Use any 4-10 digit password that only you will know.
- Tap Save
- Re-enter password and tap Save again
Note: voicemail password will only be required when you manually call in to your voicemail.
Check voicemail messages:
- Tap Phone.
- Tap Voicemail.
- Tap
on any message (new messages are indicated with an arrow).
Tip: New messages will have a blue notification dot on the left side.
Tip: You can use Siri to play a voicemail. Say something like: “Play the voicemail from Eliza.”
After a message has been played, it will be saved for 10 days from the time you listened to it.
Control message playback:
- Tap to pause the message and tap again to resume playback.
- Skip to any point in a message by dragging the play head on the scrubber bar.
Return calls from voicemail:
- Tap a message.
- Tap Call Back.
Record your greeting:
- Tap Voicemail and tap Greeting. Then tap Custom
- Tap Record and speak your greeting
- When finished, tap Stop
- To listen to your greeting tap Play
- To save your greeting, tap Save
- If you prefer to play a standard system greeting that includes your phone number, tap Voicemail, then tap Greeting, then tap Default
Delete a message:
- Tap a message.
- Tap Delete.
Tip: To delete more than one message at once, top on Edit at the top right corner and then tap on the ones you want to delete. Once you have a blue checkmark on everything you want to delete, tap delete in the bottom right.
Tip: Deleting a message does not completely remove it from your phone, just from the inbox with Rogers Wireless. Apple will still keep the message in a deleted messages folder if you want to retrieve the recording later. To fully delete the messages from your phone, tap on “deleted messages” and then you can clear all.
Undelete a message:
- Tap Deleted Messages (at the end of voicemail messages).
- Tap a message.
- Tap Undelete.
Share a message
- Tap a message.
- Tap Share button.
- Select the app you want to share it with, such as mail to email it to someone.
Save a message to your phone
- Tap a message.
- Tap Share button.
- Tap “Save to Files” and choose the folder where you’d like to save it on your phone.
Change your voicemail password:
- Go to Settings
- Phone
- Change Voicemail Password
- Then enter the new password
Note: voicemail password will only be required when you manually call in to your voicemail.
Change the alert for new voicemail
- Go to Settings
- Sounds & Haptics or Settings
- Sounds
- New voicemail, then choose your notification sound.
If Visual Voicemail is not available:
Set up Visual Voicemail through standard Voicemail Interface
- From Home screen tap Phone
- Tap Keypad
- Tap and hold the 1 key
- Follow prompts to set up password and greeting
Check your messages through standard Voicemail Interface
On your iPhone: Tap Voicemail, then follow the instructions.
On another phone: Dial your own mobile number, press * or # (depending on your carrier) to bypass your greeting, then enter your voicemail password.
